The Alice English Cup” & Wynard Battye Cup for Annual Competition between Burradoo and Ingleburn Polocrosse Clubs

I’m seeking information on “The Alice English Cup” & Wynard Battye Cup for Annual Competition between Burradoo and Ingleburn Polocrosse Clubs.”

Both these trophies were first awarded in 1946, making them both possibly the first cups awarded in polocrosse ever!  As the first one was found in Neville Gilpin’s mailbox not so long before he died, it’s a real mystery! But I have been able to get some information on The Alice English Cup, but nothing on the second one.

And, sadly, the people who might have some knowledge have mostly passed away, so there is some urgency.

I have donated “The Alice English Cup” to the Warwick Museum, but I would like to find something about the second one before we make a decision about its destination.
