Goodbyes are never easy, and farewelling Kate after five fantastic years with Polocrosse Australia is certainly no exception!
Kate’s tenure as our National Executive Officer (NEO) has been full of hard work, dedication and plenty of behind-the-scenes magic. She has played a significant role in moving PA forward, strengthening the organisation and laying the foundations for a brighter future.
Having grown up in and around polocrosse, Kate brought with her a familiarity and passion for the game and its people. Alongside a wealth of industry knowledge and connections across the sporting sector, Kate was uniquely placed to make a real difference.
Never one to simply tick the boxes, Kate consistently went above and beyond. One of her standout achievements includes strengthening PA’s recognition with the Australian Sports Commission (ASC), helping to unlock increased funding and access to professional support.

Mick Templeton has worked side-by-side with Kate through his tenure as the President of the Polocrosse Australia Board and expressed extreme gratitude and thanks for her guidance, knowledge and passion which she brought to the role.
“Without Kate’s hard work we would most definitely not be in this very positive position both financially and structurally,” Mick said.
“Kate has been an extremely valuable contributor to our sport.”
“Her tireless efforts to work along side the ASC to not only secure substantial funding increases but also ensure a positive working relationship, has put polocrosse on the map in so many ways with the ASC.”
A thank you from us all
“I personally would like to thank Kate for what she has brought to our sport over the last five years. Her knowledge and wide-ranging experience in sport combined with her understanding of how to move with the times, has been invaluable for PA,” Mick said.
“I would also like to say how appreciative the Board are with your support in our monthly meetings and beyond. Keeping polocrosse moving forward with sound structure, strategy and financial security. Your outstanding sport administration knowledge guided us and challenged our thinking, ultimately leading us through some tough decisions at times.”
Kate leaves PA in a stronger position, with her impact and contributions sure to continue to benefit polocrosse well beyond her time in the role.

“We cannot thank you enough for your time and commitment to Polocrosse Australia over the past five years. We wish you nothing but the absolute best in what ever lies ahead of you in the future.”
A new chapter for Polocrosse Australia
Kate’s departure presents an opportunity to look ahead and build on the strong foundations already set in place.
You may have seen we’re advertising for a new National Executive Officer (NEO), who will play an important role in leading PA through its next chapter.
“Looking ahead, PA looks forward to it’s next chapter. We are excited for the future of working with our new NEO, further building on our relationship with our State’s and their members, along with the ASC to set up PA with both sound strategy and financial soundness,” Mick said.
This is an exciting new chapter for PA as we continue to grow, evolve and support the polocrosse community into the future.
