Polocrosse Australia has launched an exciting initiative for the whole community: a brand-new series of 11 skills and drills videos. Created alongside the Australian Squad players and OGA Creative, the videos are designed to make polocrosse more welcoming to newcomers while giving existing players fresh tools to hone their craft.
The series covers all the fundamentals—racquet handling, passing, catching, playing techniques and teamwork — delivered in a series of short, simple, practical sessions.
Whether you’re picking up a racquet for the first time or looking to fine-tune your performance, the videos are there to help new entrants and seasoned players build confidence and enjoy the game even more.

Polocrosse Australia President Mick Templeton says the aim is to open doors for more people to experience the thrill of the sport. “Polocrosse is such an exciting and inclusive game, and we want to make sure more people feel confident giving it a go,” Mick said.
“These videos are about breaking down the basics so new players can get started easily, while also giving our current members some great tips to sharpen their skills.”
By featuring Australian Squad members, the resources connect club-level players with the country’s best, showcasing the shared foundations every player needs to perfect.
“When you see our top athletes demonstrating the fundamentals, it reminds us everyone starts at the same place,” Mick said “That’s what makes these resources so valuable—they speak to every level of our sport.”
The initiative is part of Polocrosse Australia’s PlayWell Plan, created to grow participation in the sport and strengthen the community. By making resources like this widely accessible, the organisation hopes to inspire more people to pick up a racquet, join their local club, and discover the joy of the game.
So grab your racquet, a ball, and your horse; round up your teammates and give the drills a go — it’s time to saddle up and skill up!
The full skills and drills series is live now on the Polocrosse Australia YouTube channel and Polocrosse Australia website.
