Our National Executive Officer
Kate Grills took over the reins of National Executive Officer (NEO) of Polocrosse Australia during May 2022. She has extensive experience within the sports and event management sectors and is committed to contributing to Polocrosse Australia’s organisational progress.
Kate came to Polocrosse Australia from Athletics Australia and previously held the Senior Event Manager’s role with Netball Australia, where she was responsible for operational policies and procedures, broadcast management, and major event government funding deliverables.
During her tenure at Netball Australia, Kate designed and implemented the delivery model that defined match-day and team operations for the new national netball league, Suncorp Super Netball. She also led the successful delivery of the international test series, achieving an 87% capacity sell rate in ticket sales, using market research and trend analysis.
Kate has had a lifelong involvement in polocrosse, primarily as a spectator – where she largely credits the 2004 Polocrosse Nationals in Albury as the catalyst for her to study a Bachelor of Sport Management / Bachelor Event Management.
The Polocrosse Australia Board
The Polocrosse Australia Board is comprised of five Elected Directors (incl. the President) plus up to two appointed Independent Directors.
The Polocrosse Australia Corporate Representatives, comprised of representatives from the State Associations, annually elects directors at the AGM. The Polocrosse Australia Board has the responsibility and authority to manage the daily functions of Polocrosse Australia.
Our Board is supported by the NEO (above) and our Treasurer, Callum Hughes.
