As a young boy, Corey would watch from the sidelines and get excited at the prospect of one day getting to play for Australia.

“Ever since I was kid I’ve wanted to play at the highest level and represent my country, I said to Dad I wanted to try and play for Australia — getting to do that is a privilege and an honour.

“I’ve always been very competitive and as I got older the more and more determined I got. I just kept putting in until I got there. I was probably 16 or 17 when I decided it was what I wanted to achieve, I’m 28 now and I’m heading to the World Cup.”
