Polocrosse Australia’s Play Well Plan
In August 2025 Polocrosse Australia proudly launched the Polocrosse Australia Play Well Plan 2025–2026 — a whole-of-sport initiative designed to grow participation, strengthen connections, and support the wellbeing of everyone involved in our game.

The Play Well Plan is closely aligned with the Australian Sports Commission’s Play Well Strategy, ensuring that polocrosse contributes to a more active and connected nation. At its heart, the plan reflects our values of integrity, respect, wellbeing, inclusion, and excellence, while building a strong foundation for the future of the sport.
Supporting our strategic vision
The Play Well Plan fulfils the Participation and Growth pillar of the Polocrosse Australia 2023–2026 Strategic Plan. Developed in collaboration with all states and territories, this shared vision ensures that participation initiatives are driven from the grassroots up, where the biggest impact will be felt. Our vision is clear: “to make polocrosse the go-to sport for horse enthusiasts across Australia”.
The Play Well Plan will help us achieve this by engaging not just players, but also umpires, coaches, volunteers, administrators, and new equestrian communities including pony clubs, schools, and adult riding groups.

The four participation pillars
The Plan is built on four key pillars, each with targeted actions and measurable outcomes: create, connect, unite and grow.
Each pillar is supported by practical initiatives, timelines, and performance measures to ensure real outcomes for the sport and its people.

A shared commitment
Polocrosse Australia and all state associations are committed to implementing this plan with our clubs, members, and partners. Together, we will create more opportunities, build stronger connections, and secure a vibrant and sustainable future for polocrosse across Australia.
