In addition to the consideration of the 2025 financial statements and director elections, Members will behave been asked to consider proposed constitutional amendments.

Over During the past 18 months, the Board has undertaken a comprehensive governance review in consultation with Member States, the Australian Sports Commission and legal advisors. This review has focused on ensuring Polocrosse Australia’s governance framework aligns with contemporary best practice, supports long- term sustainability, and positions the organisation to meet evolving regulatory and funding expectations.

The proposed new constitution seeks to:

  • align with the Australian Sports Commission’s Sports Governance Standards
  • strengthen clarity around membership categories and voting rights
  • support a balanced and skills-based Board structure
  • enhance transparency, accountability and modern meeting practices.

The Explanatory memorandum outlines the background to the review and provides Members with detailed information to assist in considering the proposed resolutions.

Polocrosse Australia Chair, Mick Templeton, said the 2026 AGM represents an important milestone in the sport’s continued development.

“Polocrosse has always been built on strong community foundations. As our national responsibilities grow, it is equally important our governance frameworks evolve to support the future of the sport.

The proposed constitutional updates are about strengthening clarity, accountability and long-term sustainability, while preserving the spirit and values that define polocrosse in Australia. I encourage Voting Members to review the materials carefully and engage fully in this important decision for our sport.”

Observers are welcome to attend the AGM. To assist with catering arrangements, Polocrosse Australia kindly asks those wishing to attend as observers to notify the National Executive Officer via email at neo@polocrosse.org.au prior to the meeting.
